Cryptocurrency Startup Ledger expands to Asia Pacific in Hong Kong

Soong appointed as new leader of APAC to oversee the company’s activity in Asia. The company has been pivotal in the development of first-class products for the cryptocurrency and blockchain industry.

Recently, a Paris-based crypto security giant announced the expansion of its services into Asia by setting up its Hong Kong office. The security giant further announced the appointment of Benjamin Soong as Head of Asia Pacific (APAC). The launching of its service in a new terrain will see Soong in charge of the entire Ledger’s APAC operation considering the company’s expansion in meeting the growing demand for both Ledger Nano S and Ledger Vault.

The Ledger, which was initially launched in 204 by a team of 8 experts in complementary fields of cryptocurrency, embedded security and entrepreneurship has within a short time span gained considerable worldwide influence in security and infrastructure solutions for both cryptocurrency and blockchain applications for both individual and corporate entities.

This feat was possible by integrative a unique operating system known as BOLOS to a secure chip for the crypto wallet line, considering the fact that it is the only provider of this technology in the cryptocurrency industry. Since the creation of Ledger, it has proven to be pivotal in the development of first-class products for the cryptocurrency and blockchain industry. Ledger Vault is the first multi-authorization cryptocurrency self-custody management solution was released in May 2017 to deal with the need in safeguarding a large number of multiple cryptocurrencies while mitigating both physical and IT assault threats.

On the other hand, the Ledger Nano S is a largely popular multicurrency hardware cryptocurrency wallet that offers easy accessibility and optimal security for its users. The president of Ledge, Pascal Gauthier indicated that the appointment of Soong represents a pivotal step towards the strategy of the company in growing throughout the Asia Pacific region. He further added that “APAC is a key market that has seen increased demand. With Benjamin at the helm, we are confident we can deliver top security for both consumers and financial institutions to protect their crypto assets.”

Brief about Soong

Soong has an impressive profile with almost twenty years of experience, holding various positions including operations, sales, and business development. Prior to joining the Ledger, Soong had notable stinks at Deloitte, KPMG, and S&P Global Market Intelligence after which he was promoted to Managing Director of Asia Pacific Sales. In reaction to his recent appointment as the Ledger new head of APAC, he said,
